Every kid deserves a great education. Not just academically, not just emotionally, socially, or athletically. Every kid deserves all of those things. That’s why we’re proud to work with the LeBron James I Promise School.

Located in Akron, Ohio, the I Promise School is dedicated to helping kids who are falling behind and at risk of falling through the cracks. They make a difference by educating and supporting the whole child – in the classroom and beyond.

As stated on the school’s website, “The I Promise School's mission is to positively affect the lives of children and young adults through education and co-curricular educational initiatives. We believe that an education and living an active, healthy lifestyle is pivotal to the development of children and young adults.”

As part of that healthy and active lifestyle, the school started a bike program. It was inspired by LeBron James himself, who loved riding a bike as a kid. For him, it was all about the feeling of freedom, independence, and childhood adventure. And he wanted to make sure the students at his school could have the same. That’s where we come in.

Every year since 2019, Schwinn has donated bikes and helmets to the I Promise School students and staff to use and enjoy. We absolutely love knowing that these bikes are helping to make a difference in kids’ lives.
